Himedia H8 Octa, Yam RX-V583

Hi

I'm struggling to get my Yamaha RX-V583 to receive Atmos and TrueHD audio from a Himedia H8 Octacore.

The Himedia FW is fully up to date, KODI 17 Krypton installed fine, DLNA from QNAP NAS, H8 set to HDMI for audio, KODI set to Enable Passthrough - have tried Android RAW Passthrough and IEM(?)
either way the amp only ever gets a PCM 2/0/--- signal input - I'm using the Dolby Digital Theater demo files (DD 5.1, TrueHD 7.1, TrueHD &.1 Atmos, Lossless Atmos)

Always the same. Amp is definitely setup correctly - have walked through it with a Yamaha specialist in the shop I bought it. Happy that all settings make sense and are correct.

Please please please anyone who can make any sensible suggestions, I'm tearing my hair out, sooo many hours spent trying all combinations and no luck.
Even if anyone is using the same receiver but a different streaming setup and it works I'd love to know please.

Thanks all

SOLVED: Himedia H8 Octa, Yam RX-V583

Sorted!

Thanks all. Installed Open HT and set yam receiver HDMI audio out to off.

Full ATMOS direct from the NAS over HDMI baby!!! Picture and sound are perfect.

Superb.

Xxx
