I have 2 x Synology 1813+ and 2x Synology 1815+ and use only WD red.
I do not have a 4K TV or PJ, but I have no problems with playing full bluray (ISO and BDMV) or remuxes to two different mediaplayers/TVs at the same time.
I use CAT 6A cabled network.

Deck

Oppo BDP-95EU, BDP-105D (CFW), UDP-203, Denon DVD-A1UD, Pioneer HLD-X9, CLD-D925
Dune HD SOLO 4K, Med800x3d, PCH-410A
Denon-AVPA1HD3D & POA-A1HD, Pioneer KRP-500A & KRP-600A
Synology 1815+ x 2 (72TB), Synology 1813+ x 2 (48TB)
CAT6A cabled network
