So here it is. I have noticed that my IDE drive, inside the IAMM, has been "moving" or shifting inside the plastic case, mainly because there were no foam holders to "tighten" the drive on the sides. This was solved by making a small "addition" to the player.
I opened it carefully, placed the two adhesive-foam strips (you can buy them at any DIY shop) and closed the box again. Now, when I inserted the HDD it is not moving at all, inside the casing.
You can do it yourselves, it's quick and easy. You are adding something Novatron should have done before shipping... or during design
- Unscrew the side screws carefully with a Phillips screwdrive, remove them.Step 2
- Place the IAMM vertically (standing) and unscrew the small black screw on the top, then slide
the plastic fascia vertically, to remove it completely.Step 3
- Carefully remove the top cover completely, so that the IAMM now has the two parts separate, the cover and the body of the player.
