My TVix ReadyNAS combo has been working perfectly for over 6 monts, suddenly the NV+ uprgades its firmware and after the lengthy file check it no longer functions properly with the TViX.

I have checked that they are both on a 10/100 router, ie Jumbo frames disbled. It will see the 5 main folders under the "MEDIA" share (password "tvixhd1") but then when I enter the folder it cannot see any of the files!!!

Then it crashes.

Any ideas? Does anybody know how I can put back the old firmware on the NV+?

Also I have full access to all of the folders on the NV+ from my PC. I have even tried a different network cable (just in case, as I had to roll the piano over the old one today!).

Over at the Infrant forum, several people found that disabling jumbo frames was all that was needed to fix it. It's a bug in the latest firmware since jumbo frames should still work with non-jumbo devices like the Tvix. My Tvix could connect to the ReadyNAS, but folders were inaccurately shown as being empty. Disabling jumbo frames solved my problems as well. There is a way to go back to the old firmware, but you will lose all data on your drives unless you back it up first.
