I keep pounding the internet pavement looking for information, and very very little information is available about the new models. When typically do they start mentioning their release schedules?

Well this was an engadget article about the availability of the 2012 panasonic displays, dated march 9, 2012, so im guessing we will start hearing info in about a months time.

Also, looks like samsung will have a press conference on February 19, regarding their OLED launch plans, maybe well get more info on their 2013 plasma and LED models.

I read that Panasonic has said that they'll ship sometime next month. Haven't heard anything from Sony, Samsung, Sharp, or LG. Going off of what I saw last year the LG's rolled out and arrived first, then the Samsung's, then Sony and Sharp in that order. All of which were nearly, or completely out by first week of April, excluding the Sharp Elite which never received a revamp, and the HX950 of course.

I'm drawn to the Sony's but passed on them because they were active, pun unintentional. I'm dying to see how their mid-ranges hold over all.

This isn't necessarily relevant here but I feel like this is an almost unbelievable and incredible fact/piece of information.

And TGM, I'm in the same boat as you, very interested to see how they perform. I'm also looking forward to seeing the 2013 Sharp's, I feel like they had a pretty stellar year for their FP's and actually managed to post a profit in Q3, which is somewhat encouraging, albeit a small profit, I wish Sharp a bright future.
