I have not encountered any audio issue with HDMI ARC although I'd wish the TV sends out DD+ instead of DD.
If you get only DD then solution could be a Chromecast which I use for my KURO via receiver

I have many other solutions for getting DD+ (my BD player and my game consoles). I also get a Chromecast somewhere collecting dust. The Netflix app on this TV is the best so far.

I'd rather not be bothered with Chromecast at all. The usability of the platform to me is a big let down. Not only you need tie up an Android phone/tablet or PC to control it (there is no other way to do it), the FFW/REW/Skipping is just plain pain on a touch screen with no precision at all. Maybe I'm old but nothing beats IR remotes with dedicated buttons for these tasks. Not to mention, my Nexus 5 keeps disconnecting from the Chromecast dongle all the time.

Don't worry i am not young either
But from my brother "smart" tv he couldn't get out DD+ so I asked him to buy a Chromecast and with Chromecast he get better pic and DD+ delivered to his receiver. But if these tv has better PQ than Chromecast so why not?

Chromecast doesn't get any better PQ than any modern Netflix apps. If you have a 5+ year old TV, that might be limiting. But most BD players today also come with new Netflix app that offers the same PQ and IQ. It's just none of them operates as fast as on this TV.

Thanks for the Netflix comments.
So far its only been Orange is the New Black and House of Cards and not any movies or other TV shows. Maybe its the number of people accessing the original content.
I have pretty decent internet speeds with the latest Docsis 3 modem I consistently get speed tests of 80 to 100+ MPS and gigabit wired to the TV and BD player.

Quick Reference of Forum Rules
1) Do Not post pricing you found on-line or at a local dealer UNLESS IN A DEALS THREAD.
2) Do Not ask for, or offer, a receipt so people can price match.
3) Do Not say to "Call John Smith at ..." (you know what I mean)
4) Do Not put down someone else's choice in...

For me, it is randomly on other movies, some of them Korean movies that I don't think a lot of ppl are accessing them at the same time. I even lost my account information couple times and have to re-enter my login.

Is the 9800 considered a 8 or 10 bit panel? I'm debating between this and a HU9000. thanks.

Both sets have their problems. And the reports of dead pixels and other problems after only a year of ownership has me concerned.

You guys should watch Under the Skin. That movie has a few scenes that ONLY an OLED owner can truly appreciate. I'm talking VERY dark 90% black scenes, and generally a lot of very dark low apl scenes that even my JVC (second best contrast to OLED) got completely destroyed by the LG. It's crazy how much better TRUE BLACK really is.

Seeing Scarlet Johanson in her birthday suit is a nice bonus

I will pause the screen while it's black when I hear my wife coming to watch tv with me
It's totally black
She walks in and asks what I'm doing sitting in a room with everything off

It's unreal, I often find myself moving the smart controller around to see if the tv was turned off correctly or not

Big debate between this and one of the newer 4K sets. Tough call. Really want a OLED 4k.

Unless you are without a TV at the current moment, just take a deep breath and wait it out. EA's not always but far too often become ER's (early regretters)...

Have you already been given an indication of pricing by LG?

I'm suspicious the pricing curve on this one won't be quite so wiz-bang. But time will tell.

For-sale items go in AVS Classifieds only.

I can wait. LN40A750 still working well. When a 55" curved 4k oled hits $4500 or less, I'll pull the trigger. But a few years later 8k with it's glasses free 3D technology will transcend upon us.

Shouldn't be too long until the EC9300 though, considering that it's supposed to be available end of this month.

i know its not reference quality, but i enjoy watching the standard setting(out of the box) on content
80 oled light, 100 contrast
it REALLY pops and shows what an OLED can do

The 65" OLED is showing on Fry's internal system but nothing on the new 55". I would spend the 9K if the 65 4K comes out in the next 30 days.
