You can't say that out of hand as if it's a fact that OLED will always show an [overly] saturated color. If they're trying to follow Rec.709 (and someday perhaps BT.2020, though I'm not holding my breath), then the CMS will theoretically handle this. It's a matter of how well the source was created.

Well vinnie97, one of the kindest and most helpful and respected members here, was banned for silly reasons. And now vinnie_RIP is banned as well. What do you think MicroCenter sold them so cheap? It is definitely not a price mistake.

It was a clearance sale until other dealers complained (probably BB) so MC has to cut it short early. We all knew it was a clearance sale by LG to prepare to 2014 models.

Nothing to be scared of, just like the 65A which was $7k being sold $2,700. Be happy you were part of the 2K deal.

From the inventory check I did back then, at least 10 units each store. MC has 25 stores nation wide.

There is no way I would know that information. But I don't think MC will sell them at cost or below cost. LG is behind the sell, not MC. So I assume with the incentive LG given to MC, they probably sell at a slight profit. I assume dealer costs is slightly above $2k. That's why no one is willing to price match MC.

^^^ Sure, he says that now right ? Either way Best buy can take losses like that, when you do double digit billions in sales a year.

It is a 50/50 split, it could have been an error or a special deal from LG. If I was forced to bet a cold million either way, I would bet it was a pricing error because at best that was MC cost........

In the end it does not matter, good for all those who got them for $1999

I'm starting to think I might possibly have a bad panel. And yes, I'm one of the lucky MC buyers. Can some of you guys test the viewing angle on this? The closer I walk up to the tv or the further to one of the sides I go, the picture starts to turn yellow. It's especially noticeable on white colors. Luckily it doesn't affect the black levels at all, they're still completely black, but everything else starts to get a yellow tint. Is this normal??? I thought one of the main benefits of OLED is the near perfect viewing angles. Maybe my expectations are just too high but I want to make sure I don't have a defective panel.

Thanks

Do Plasmas have this same issue with off angle viewing or is the picture the same no matter what angle you view it from?

Plasma's do not have the same issue, but OLED's have many, many, many other strong points. I would take an OLED over any other TV produced to date.......

I second that and throw in a amen to that. You can OCD yourself into craziness with any panel, OLED is the best but nothing is perfect.
