So I have a dog that's young and half cattle dog(which he needs to run)
I also have a golf cart, so I'll drive around the neighborhood and he runs by me, chasing the local deer
I waited till dark last night to run him, after watching the oled
My lights wouldn't work in the cart, so I was driving in the dark
I actually was thinking how good the cr is in real life, then realized my thought process was backwards and that the oled replicates blacks so well, it's almost life like
Stupid story, I know, but the thought actually occurred

Is it time to send out a search party for Vegas OLED? I'm officially declaring him MIA.

How about that 5x10!

If you look at the two pictures he posted from the 9800 & 9300, I'd suspect that most of the differences we're seeing in the pictures is an exposure difference from the camera. It's very apparent the 9800 picture is a brighter, almost washed out camera exposure than the 9300 shot. Just look at the room surrounding the display, forget the display.

I'm not saying there's no differences in the display, but again it shows how pictures can be very deceiving.

yes sir
2 different sets, 2 different sets of settings, one is calibrated, one isnt
cant wait for a real review on the 9300 and how it differs from the 9800
and im not anti 9300 at all, in fact, if there are issues with the 9800 down the line, i will be getting one via replacement
im pro oled, regardless of manufacturer or model

any owners willing to chime in with some feedback in regards to the following reported issues and if they are apparent with their set?

-DSE = none
-Banding = none
-DNR = Im too much of a rookie to even know what to look for, although, i can say that the image is very crisp
-Motion issues = issues i have are with scrolling text at the bottom of channel(espn, ccn, etc) judders randomly, i rewind to see if i can replicate it and it seems to happen at different intervals, software related? no issues with movies or games
-Gray screen uniformity and or it showing on content = the right and left hand sides appear darker than the middle, in addition, i can see the back panel on dark gray slides, in content, i was able to see this by staring at the right hand side of the screen and waiting for consistent enough content to come on, which showed a differences in shade. fortunantly, i do not watch tv like that and content varies enough to where i dont see it while watching the shows/movie
-Abl = none that pops out to me
-Dead pixels = 2 blue, out of box, no more
-IR/burn in = a couple of times, i didnt notice lb lines that seemed to be a ghosting, no long term ir or burn in to report
and any other issues you may have noticed?

this isnt a knock on the 9800, only a consolidation of issues to date
thanks for the feedback
Wizziwig and slacker711 like this.
