I see nothing wrong with this concept if they can eventually offer sizes similar to typical front projection setups (110-140"). I'm sure many other people would gladly scrap their projector if it means infinite contrast, no bulb maintenance, fan noise, etc. At those kind of sizes, rollable seems like a requirement - how else could you get it into your home?

Rollable displays have been a few years away for about 15 years now. Wake me up when you can actually buy one at Best Buy.
