If you have purchased an LG 55EA9800, thanks to vote according to your experience with the product up to now.
I know there is nothing we can do to prevent trolls voting in the poll, but if everyone who votes posts a reply to the thread summarizing their vote (and any other color they would like to add on their experience), I will do my best to tabulate the true owner's votes.

The poll was not intended to imply preference for any technology over any other - just an indication of the quality and reliability of Gen 1 LG OLED from owner's of that set.
If you return your gen-1 OLED for a gen 2 OLED, then you should either vote that you returned if because of problems or you returned it for other reasons (for example, to upgrade to higher framerate or higher brightness).
And also, voting that you returned or are considering returning is not intended to imply in any way that you are negative on OLED or are giving up on it - only that LG has some quality and reliability issues with Gen-1 OLED that make the product unacceptable if not addressed.
At the moment, there are 9 votes out of which 2/3 are problem-free, but there are only 4 responses out of which:
No problem = 1 (Barrybud)
Some problem considering to return (Vegas oled)
Problem TV returned (vakmestern)
Some problem but not serious (5x10)
So based on posts, there are 50% (2 out of 4) no problem or minor problem and 50% serious enough problem to return or consider returning.
If I did not have this condition 3 bad sub-pixels would be a non-issue. On another note my set started resetting again.

The poll was not intended to be a poll of whether owners are positive or negative about OLED but to assess how many Gen-1 55EA9800 OLED owners have had quality and reliability problems sever enough to exchange their sets.
Since Coopson appears to have abandoned this board since he returned his set, I have voted in his place (also because I was getting tired of being asked to vote each time I checked the thread :-)
But so far, the number of owners who have experienced any quality and reliability problems seems to be very low.
On the other hand, the number of owners who have posted following their vote has been very low, so we don't really have the confidence level in all of the happy OLED owners here on the forum that I was hoping for when I created the poll...
Tv shootout will soon answer a few of the questions of the 2014 1080p one.
The above photo is a prime example of this, there is no way this set will ever have an even color temperature on the great scale.
The banding is not the issue it's the color shift, both would get much worse with a 10ire slide.
