A newbie in a world of TV confusion! Too many models, not enough knowledge.

I am looking for recommendations I guess.

Very glossy
'Live' feeling
Entry-level price - 1200$ max (I might consider an used unit the TV will be used very occasionally)
Vibrant colors (even if they are not 'real') while keeping very good black definition.

The most difficult part to me is to have something very glossy. I just like it.

I already have a LG 42PG20. I am generally satisfied.

This new one will be in the basement. The room is 20 feet long, seats from 14-20ft.

I had a look at LGs, but I found quality very varying. I was to buy a 50PV450 until I saw it. Not glossy like my old 42PG20. I didn't find the Panasonic very glossy either. Then I saw a LN46C650. It was definitely a stand-out to my eyes and it was even relatively cheap. However because of the size of my room I would prefer a 50-55". The LN55C650 does not seem available locally.

But the Samsung 6-series got my attention. The ultra clear panel must be what made it look so glossy. It is more expensive that I would like, though.

Any recommendation in respect with my criteria above?
