My old rear projection LCD is about to go and I'd like to replace it on a budget of about $900 or less. Not interested in Plasma.

- Could care less about 3D
- Prefer LED due to reduced energy usage
- Don't care about Apps or any of that extra stuff
- MOST IMPORTANT, It must have an ability to turn that "smooth motion" stuff off, I think it is the most distracting thing watching a movie imho.

So just a cut and dry good old HDTV with no fluff or smoothing action. Let me know some ideas. Thanks!

Try checking out costco?

No subwoofer I've heard has been able to produce the bass I've experienced in the Corps!

Must..stop...buying...every bluray release...

I know you said you'd like led but if you can afford $900 you can afford the extra $12/ yr it'd cost to run a plasma instead. pn51d550 is a great choice for well under $900. That would give you 3d and a much better picture than 98% of the leds in that price range just my 2 cents

That is a good option I posted in another thread that last years best buy 55" LW5600 are $900 on sale now.

Plasma if you have a bright room might not be an option and if your that worried about power check bestbuy I know they don't to rain checks so if they don't have any more stock your SOL.
