Better than the Sharp Elite, or the Sony XBR (at the time it was the HX929, but I'm going to assume the HX950 would be right on par with that)
However, if PDP's are out the question and you insist on LED/LCD's then I'd recommend the HX950 or the Sharp Elite, HX950's available in 65" and the Elite in 60 and 70". One thing I will highly recommend is stay AWAY from edge lit LED/LCD's. if the two mentioned models above don't fit the bill, or the budget, then stay away from LG and Samsung edge lits, especially in that size. Good luck with the choice! Always fun!
Thankyou @hoozthatat. Why do I keep hearing that Plasma is old technology and will no longer be made in a few years?
I feel I should go with newer technology, except the panasonic VT50 looked so much more realistic than the Samsung 65".
I also saw a Sharp Elite 70" which would have been my first choice except it was priced like the Pioneer 6010P I bought 6
years ago, and even though its a great TV, I don't think paying that kind of money is justified when you can get a 70" for
$3000 Like the Sharp. I am giving up on the Samsung, because of the bells and whistles of internet usage, I don't think
I want to use my hands as a remote control either.... (Too Old for that) ..... I am torn about the 70" Sharp just because of it's
size..... Are there any reviews about the Sharp that will put me off it and make the VT50 my choice?
Again thanks for answering, I really appreciate it.... BTW, I posted in two threads as a mistake, is there anyway to merge them?
