Man, I didn't buy it, but this stuff you're having to put up with is making me an angry consumer "by proxy".....

Up until now the black bars have always gone away but this isn't shifting I'm gonna have to pack the TV up soon but this worry's me.

I only watched 4 hours of house of cards not back to back ether I watch full screen content in-between.

Edit: and this isn't just grey slides pixel peeping that avengers picture shows its on normal content.

Just checked now as I'm gonna have to pack it up in the next 15 minutes seems like its started to fade would have been nice to keep it unpacked so I could be sure it would go.

I was just getting into house of cards and forgot all about IR.

Well i was writing this and the new set came its not in the same box looks like it will be harder to get out.

Does it have the most recent firmware?

http://www.lg.com/us/support-product/lg-55EA9800

No idea if that will help, but I remember a post by plague where a pixel came back and he thought it might have happened right after updating the firmware. Good luck.

Also a white one is acting up right in the middle its not all the way off but there's something up with it

Yeah for whatever bizarre reason I did regain a dead sub after updating FW, though I suspect it was just coincidence. I still don't know how a pixel came back from the dead but I better not complain too much...wow though that is freaking terrifying how that bar looks on the avengers!!!! Holey Moley. I feel like when it happens it's more.of a random thing than anything.

Ever since I heard that the screen can bend, (by hand), I've been wondering if a gentle bending of the panel (or flattening) could bring it back.

Show of hands: Anyone else wondering if making the screen curved is increasing the likelihood of such problems?

Sounds like you have enough dead pixels on the new panel to warrant another replacement if you decide to stick with LG.

White pixels have fixed them self's but these lines that I have near the top are terrible its awful I'm still hoping its IR from the setup menu or something but if its not I cant life with it.

Also a vertical line in the middle too don't think it was there when I first turned it on but I've watched nothing that would leave IR.

sold.

But you do get more crosstalk because the filter cant block bright images that are over black.

Edit well its the same crosstalk passive LCD get but it stands out more on pure black.

That review HYMER DAXTER posted talks about 3D and cross talk performance.

Do you think it would be less crosstalk than my active shutter 3d already has?
