hello everyone im kenny, im about to get back from deployment and im planning on getting a new tv for my xbox one and for sports. i truly dont know anything about tv's. im looking at speading no more then $2500. i live on base so the biggest tv i can have is 65 in but im lookinf for a 55in tv with a low lag time and really good PQ. can anyone help

My recommendations are as follows :

Panasonic S60/S64 (get S64 if you can't perform light control in your room)

+ decent input lag
+ great black

- can get grainy at times. (dithering noise) In my opinion, the U50 was better in this area.
- low light output/aggressive ABL

Sony W900

+ Lowest input lag for this year's TVs
+ Mark can't recommend these enough for motion blur reduction. It certainly is the finest LCD TV for motion performance.
+ have acceptable light output,black,uniformity, but of course, all the caveats for edge-lits also apply here.

...If you can compromise a little on input lag, you can get Panasonic ST60 which will blow away both displays. Samsung F8500 will be the finest when it comes to overall PQ, but its input lag is way too high.

I recommend the Panasonic VT60. Best image quality and still low enough input lag.
