Some time ago I came across a flat panel mount that hinged from the wall and extended outward as it hinged. As you started to pivot (either right or left) the arm would not only rotate but also slide out. This to allow the TV to be brought out from the mounting pivot. It's hard to describe, but it's NOT a regular articulating mount.

I've a situation where the TV will be mounted next to, and a few inches back from the edge of a nearby fireplace. This would make it a little tight for some seating along the fireplace a little problematic. The mount would help alleviate this problem a bit. But I'd have to FIND the mount again.

Anyone know what I'm talking about, and have a link to it? Or reviews of it?

Thanks!

Now all I have to do is refrain from beating the bejesus out of the cabinet maker that's utterly eff'ed up delivering this cabinetry...

Check out the video that shows the motion of the mount.

That looks a little better than other full-range mounts I've seen. But it's still not the mount I ran across a while ago. I just cannot remember the vendor or the link. The idea was it had only one pivot point, the hinge. The arm them slid outward as the hinge opened. It was really a clever idea. That way when the TV got moved it'd only move in one direction and not be something that got fiddled around with. The full range ones invite fiddling with them, both to get them out and to close them again. Something I'd prefer to avoid, if possible. But if not, that Sanus one does look interesting.
