Frankly, until this thread I hadn't heard of either of those two films.

"eh".

Java developers, when I saw what has been placed into Java 8 I was immediately reminded of how I've spent so much of my life trying to protect engineers from themselves. Lambda expressions are a horrible idea. Gentlemen: the goal isn't to make code readable for a competent mid-level engineer. The goal is to make code readable for a competent mid-level engineer exhausted and hopped up on caffeine at 3 am. What a disaster Java 8 is!

.....plague wants to sleep with the fishes.....

I just saw parts of those films again recently by channel flipping and regretted not seeing them from the beginning. Both 1 & 2 were absolute triumphs.

The Tree of Life is considered by many to about as good as it gets for PQ. In the avsforum review it received 100/100 for PQ. Many of the shots in the film are lucid to the point of being unnerving.

I wouldn't say it's one of my favourite films, though.

From "Cheetahs on the Edge"... a cheetah recorded in slow-motion HD at 1200 frames/second.
