This thread is for OLED owners and followers interested in posting and viewing images of these new and marvelous displays. Yes, it's a place to flaunt, gloat, showcase, and otherwise brag about your OLED display, so take great pics everyone.

Please visit the various discussion threads for reviews and comparisons.

NOTE: IF YOU POST AN IMAGE COMPARING, for example, OLED vs Plasma, or OLED vs LCD, or OLED vs OLED, it maybe contested by others (and rightfully so) and the thread will go off topic. So compare at your own risk.

Now for the disclaimer: if you intend on buying an OLED TV, please don't base your decision solely on the images you see here; camera quality, post-processing, and the level of skill of the photographer can, and do, play a role in the quality of the images you may see here.

OLED gives new life to paintings. And it looks like real canvas up close. Amazing.

Morning5, can you take a picture with the lights on? I wanna see the frame and all with a movie playing. Somehow, I can't picture this set without images of paintings floating in my head.

If I may ask, what camera mode are you shooting in? Auto, Programmed Auto, Manual, etc...

The near black uniformity on this gallery version is terrible:

^ Definitely not good, but perhaps better at higher luminance values?

Pres2play, I took those photos with my lights on. I'm using Auto and without flash. I can take the frame+movie photo. Soon.

Thanks for posting the images!

My camera's auto-focus does not work well in dark scenes so I shoot in Manual mode and focus manually.

Thanks Ken. Your earlier advice shooting in RAW was very helpful.

Glad that worked out, but you still have to know what you're doing with RAW, and you obviously do.

You've captured some tonalities that are tough to do.

Hopefully we'll see a major price shift by then as well. I'll be needing a new Ultra HD Bluray player to go with that

Sammy Sung should be trembling. Instead they're getting more shrill about the curves.

Stay tuned for the LG 77-inch behemoth! A close source says it's coming.

I'm glad it's not under 10k, I'd buy it tomorrow.

Pres, there's so much conflicting info on the 77"'s release date. I just read today in USA Today that it's (not sure if they're referring to the curved or flex, but they did say 'curved') not coming until the 3rd quarter of this year.

But like you, I've heard differently too.

My source is Robert at VE, and he didn't specify a street date in his email. I'm not sure if he's just excited, but if there's one merchant with a knack for surprises, it's VE.

Yeah, he told me that too, but I'm not sure how confident he was with that timeframe.

If the 77" is released soon, it will come with WebOS 1. If it's delayed significantly, it will have WebOS 2 and possibly other updates. It's all pretty confusing at this point.

I'd kill someone for the 77" flexible one! Well, not really, but you get my point of desperation to have it in my hands. One day, one day.
