Request-LG: sign here if you want a videophile's Game Mode

Hello,

I own a LG OLED 55EA8800, and am planning to buy a LG OLED EF9500.

LG, can you please add an extra Game Mode that allows us to calibrate White Balance 2-10-20+ point IRE, CMS Controls, etc. Something like an ISF Game Mode. This way we can have two Game Modes, the Standard one and the new videophile one.

I created this request to LG because I, as a lot of other gamers, value videophile picrure quality and low-mid input lag.

Thank you LG and AVSForum Members.

Honestly the input lag seems pretty low with PC mode enable and an expert pq mode selected. I can't tell the difference in lag between game mode pq and expert when in PC mode. Wish someone with the Leo input lag tester could test the difference.

The problem with PC Mode Expert, is that even tough the xvYCC setting is grayed out, it's still Enabled, set in Automatic mode. No way to turn it off while using PC Mode, as far as I know

Not sure if your tv has a xvYCC setting, but my tv has.

You can disable it while in non PC Mode, by enabling Real Cinema and feeding the tv a xvYCC signal, for example I bought an encoded in 4K movie with xvYCC support: The Ghostbusters.

Game Mode is free of this xvYCC setting.

Is there a way to unlock the xvYCC setting while using PC Mode?

I don't use any special setting or input and gaming is just fine for me (including FPS's like Destiny and Battlefield).

Still, one must wonder what kind of crazy processing LG is doing in the so-called "Game mode". I mean, this is an OLED display were talking about, not an LCD, and game mode implies being fed a lossless video signal. I mean, what kind of stuff is there to process in such a situation anyway, especially on a 1080p display doing no upscaling? And again, being OLED, you don't need to do any crazy voodoo to try to "enhance" the static contrast levels or similar.

Where do I sign......

I would like an improved gaming mode.

FYI, input lag is over 50ms on the LG 4K OLEDs, would be nice to get it under 30ms...

Lower the input lag please. 20 is the magic number. Thanks.

< 30ms lag & a pixel by pixel setting for 720p and 1080p sources!!! Low lag isn't much good if you have chroma sub-sampling scaling.
