Long story short he had to take the back of it off to see some additional serial codes or whatever...but LG is going to send out a brand new tv basically. A new panel but reusing the same mainboard, etc. I called up the the seller I bought it from off of ebay while the repair guy was still here. He said he would do an expedited return or replacement immediately if I didn't like the new panel.(ielectrica) He did give me the option to return it if I wanted or exchange. I figured I take my chances with a new panel rather than shipping multiple tv's back and forth and not having a tv, for now.

I am so torn on exchanging mine/Getting LG involved or just living with it. I think my set banding is pretty similar to yours; I may see how yours plays out before I make a decision so definitely keep us posted.
