I bought the Tv from Australia but I want to change the region to US or UK to download local apps as OZ app store is under stocked.

any Help is appreciated.

You can access the service menu using a Harmony remote but I do not believe it gives you access to location. However, if you go into settings and click on the general settings you can change the location of the set. I have done this and changed my location from Canada to the US and did get access to different apps.

In the case of audio sync problems with apps that is sometimes an app issue. It can be fixed by stopping the stream and restarting it. I had that issue last night with Amazon (audio was off by about 2 seconds!) sounds like that's what you did.

i had some audio sync issues last night on the TV speakers, switched over to soundbar which cleared it up for me. I then restarted the app and switch to TV speakers and the sync was fine. I'm also finding that when I switch to my soundbar it doesnt always work, I have to cycle through the inputs on the soundar to get it to work. This also happens with my TCL. Seems older soundbars or maybe newer TV's are not ready for soundbars without some sort of issues. by the way the internal speakers on this thing are not as bad as I thought.

on a separate note, i got the 55 inch B7 and I now feel I should have bought the 65 inch version. Does BB charge a restocking fee if I switch to a bigger TV? TV is only 3 days old and my seating distance from the tv is about 9 feet. i dont think the 65 would be too big?

thanks, doesn't look like there is one. I one them to to a swap, doesn't mention that. I rather them deliver the 65 and take back the 55. I'm going to the store tonight and see if that can be done. Otherwise I'll have to pack this 55 inch myself in the box and return it which I'm trying to avoid if I can.

BB has different amount of return days for level of status but, the minimum is 15 days, so you are good to return without any restocking fees. If you are buying the 65" in return they are even happier to help

Buying the OLED puts you in the upper level but it takes two weeks after you hit the level for it to kick in.

It's interesting the speaker start to make a pop sound when it happens. Anyone else experience this? or have any suggestions?
I have a 65C7. I run an HDMI cable from my Spectrum cable box to the TV and then optical audio from TV out to Denon receiver + 5.1 system. All works fine. About a week ago i decided to try the internal speakers and had bad synch issues. I tried a variety of sound options, turning processing on and off, ATMOS on and off, etc, with no success. When changing channels or turning the set off then on the issue would sometimes correct itself but would eventually come back.

I eventually gave up and returned to the optical out to the receiver set up, which is what I always use anyway. I'm sure at some point i will return to this issue though. If I didn't have the surround system I would definitely have to call LG and have the problem corrected.

Anyone with the C7 + PS4 Pro know if this setup is still slightly dodgy?

I've noticed 2-3 times now that the screen goes blank / resumes while using it for normal content. This is a pretty rare situation as it can go hours without an issue, but still slightly annoying.

My video chain is C7 -> BJC 15 ft HDMI Premium -> Marantz 7702mk2 -> BJC 12 ft HDMI Premium-> PS4 Pro. It isn't clear to me if this is just wonky behavior from the PS4 Pro, or perhaps the cable run is getting too long and I need to shorten the total HDMI distance involved. I have an Oppo 203 that is also connected through the Marantz and does not exhibit this issue on full 4k content, but the cable between it and the Marantz is only 3ft long.

Can someone link me to the calibration thread for the 2017 LG OLEDs? I can't find it though I spent an hour looking. Bought the in-laws (they paid) the 2017 65B7A from BB and want to calibrate it once they get the sucker mounted. HELP.

Thanks in advance!

I haven't seen that behavior with my PS4Pro and C7, but I haven't put many hours on it yet. It does sound like an HDMI problem.

So lg had their sub contractor repair place just come out and look at my tv because of the black bars. The repair guy definitely saw all the issues and did a video call with LG themselves so they could also see it. On the call LG 'thought it was my source" even knowing the tech showed them the slides. I showed LG on the video call the dark bars during Game of Thrones off HBO GO and Ghost in the Shell(4k hdr bluray).

Long story short he had to take the back of it off to see some additional serial codes or whatever...but LG is going to send out a brand new tv basically. A new panel but reusing the same mainboard, etc. I called up the the seller I bought it from off of ebay while the repair guy was still here. He said he would do an expedited return or replacement immediately if I didn't like the new panel.(ielectrica) He did give me the option to return it if I wanted or exchange. I figured I take my chances with a new panel rather than shipping multiple tv's back and forth and not having a tv, for now.

here is a pic with the back off if anyone is curious.

either way.... this is still BS for this kind of money and makes me regret even more not going with 75" sony 940e

That's exactly what I had to do, prior to Logitech adding the two codes. When they did add them, it didn't "sync" correctly. The two buttons was there but didn't do anything, so I removed the "LG TV" completely and re added it, and it works perfectly since then

LG 2017 OLED Calibration and Setting thread

The only thing you really need to know is the following x,y plot chart from LG when calibration HDR. Follow the Calman 5 latest DV template and you should be golden.

LG 2017 Calibration Notes

As for SDR, there isn't much of new information on calibration compared to the 2016. I spend the weekend comparing BT1886 (2.40) vs Power Gamma 2.35. It definitely lessen the black crush, but I think 2.33 might be a better alternative for 100cd/m2 @ 30FL

Yeah I ended up deleting the C7 and re-adding it. There may have been a way to just update it but if so I missed it.

Just realized the reddit was about color banding but a user claims there is a firmware fix in the works. Of course I have found no other mention anywhere about it so major grain of salt. I think it is unlikely as well.
Ya, that's a wives tale I bet...

I am so torn on exchanging mine/Getting LG involved or just living with it. I think my set banding is pretty similar to yours; I may see how yours plays out before I make a decision so definitely keep us posted.

At least your getting treated good from the seller and lg. I went through 3 75x940d so it can happen with any brand.

I was considering purchasing the 930e from sony, but the B7 is only 200 dollars more right now at best buy. Im assuming the b7 is the better purchase? Does anyone have any experience using these new OLEDS as PC monitors? Seen some burn in horror stories. My usage is pretty mixed between TV and PC gaming with a bit of web browsing thrown in.

Go with the b7. Better picture quality and android tv is so weak.

I definitely run the risk of getting a panel with bigger issues but I watch a lot of dark scened shows and movies and so far the banding has shown up in @ 60 or 70% of the content I have watched. the more telling slides are these at near black which is where I believed mine is having the issues. Attached are at 2% and 3%. It is way too distracting on a lot of what I watch.

Okay sounds like I have a problem then...I fired up Horizon: ZD (figure this in HDR is about as taxing as it is going to get)... within the first 5 minutes it went black, came back, and stayed solid for 1+ hour. Guess I will contact BJC to send me a couple of short 5 foot HDMI cables and move the PS4 Pro next to the Marantz to see if that fixes it.

I've noticed 2-3 times now that the screen goes blank / resumes while using it for normal content. This is a pretty rare situation as it can go hours without an issue, but still slightly annoying.
I've had about three screen blanks on my PS4Pro > Denon X2400H > 65C7P (all new cables). Toggling from another input back to the PS4 Input on the Denon kicks the video signal back on. I've about 25 hours played on the PS4 and it's only happened those three times (two of which were in the PS4 menus and not in-game).

I am pretty sure it's HDMI related and I do have the TV set up with HDMI Control and ARC enabled. Waiting out the new streaming boxes later this year to replace the LG apps and disable the HDMI Control.

I don't seem to have to change inputs, signal always seems to come back in 5+ seconds, but it will kick the TV in/out of HDR mode when it happens. I was already concerned that the entire signal path is approaching 27 feet, so will try to cut that to 20 feet to see if it helps at all. I've had them happen in game, in the menus, and while playing 1080p streams, so it isn't terribly consistent.

Should get new cables by end of the week to know for sure. I wish I could have a shorter run from the pre-pro to the TV itself, but just not possible while still going behind the wall/without having to relocate everything and re-run entire new lengths of cables from the pre-pro to amps, etc.

Do you have the HDMI Control feature enabled in the PS4Pro? Try turning that off as well (I still have my problem but it may help yours?) My cable run from the Pro is fairly long; approaching 25 ft back to the TV through the wall.
