The C7 would sit on the same table my DLP does now, but the 75" TV would hang on the wall about 18" further away from our seats.
i try not to read all the negative stuff unless I start to experience something out of the ordinary on my set. When that happens then I come here and search the forums for others who may have the same issue.

Usually that's all that is talked about, negativity of a product. LG OLED probably outsell's everything else in the "High End Market" now, so with more user's you will have more complaints.......

This data from IHS indicates LG OLED selling about 2 out of every 3 'premium' 55" and 65" TVs in the US market - do the sales you've seen over the past few months reflect this same dominance at the high-end for these 2 screen sizes?

Thanks for the reassurance guys. It will be the LG when I pull the trigger for sure. I also realize there is no 'perfect' TV, but it seems the LG comes as close to that goal as any right now.

Thanks.

Always comforting to confirm these 'top-down' graphs/data with some anecdotal 'feet-on-the-ground' observations .

Bottom-line, LG is doing well in the premium segment, at least here in the US .

Looking at the B7a on the Bestbuy website, the specs state that the tuner is analog. While C7P specs say the it's tuner is digital.
Is there really a difference between the two.

Analog TV broadcast ended years (decades?) ago...

I'd trust LG for specs over Best Buy: http://www.lg.com/us/tvs/lg-OLED65B7A-oled-4k-tv

From what I have read the B7A Specs are exactly the same the B7P except the B7A omits the internal Dolby Atmos decoding capability. LG executives have said that the picture quality benefits of all 2017 4K OLED TV models are the same across all model lines including the B7A.

It might be more accurate to say the B7A does not have the built-in speakers to play Atmos. It will, however, decode and pass Atmos to an external AVR.

Wait, so that's confirmed? It will still pass atmos to a receiver? Hot damn! Who uses soundbars/bult-in speakers anyways. Nice.

Yes. All 2017 WOLEDs support Atmos-over-ARC (including the B7A).

It is only the ability of the TV to play Atmos sound through integrated speakers in the TV itself that is 'missing' from the B7A...

It's a digital tuner, no one makes analog tuners anymore. And like others said on this thread, the only difference is a gray bezel, plastic stand and 2.0 non atmos audio on the B7A and 2.2 Atmos audio on the C7

Yes, I confirmed it myself. However, currently it does not pass Atmos through external inputs, only through streaming sources. So basically using the built in apps like Netflix and Vudu you can ARC out to get Atmos, but if you plug in a bluray player and try to ARC out it will not pass the Atmos audio back out. Best solution is to hook a bluray player up to your AVR directly, which you should probably do anyway and use ARC for built in apps.

Seems like the B7A is a better option for me as I will use external speakers, including Atmos add-ons, and (eventually) the B7A will be a few dollars cheaper. It seems that Costco does have a better reputation with warranties, 90-day returns, price drops etc., so it seem like the B7P is what I will wind up getting.

Am I being too harsh on BB and other sellers of the B7A?

Does your receiver actually say atmos? Mine only says DD+ when playing Netflix atmos movies on the LG Netflix app.. If trying the vudu app or the Dolby app I also only get Dolby ditigal plus from tv to AVR over arc. Now the same apps playing on my xbox1s to the AVR all say atmos on the AVR window display.

I tested it through an Atmos soundbar and it worked, did not test with an AVR, assumed it would be the same

Do you actually own a B7A? If so, perhaps you could start an owner's thread .

I was in Sams club with a friend as i am not a member and they had some OLED's. Not sure if it was a B7a but prices seems cheap for a 65". Just no way i could stuff the box in my Vette and they won't bring it to the house and set it up for you.

Would have been the B7P, which has Dolby atmos audio and 2.2 speakers. B7A has 2.0 speakers and will only pass through Atmos, but not play it through internal speakers. To be honest the B7A is the better deal, and you can get those at Best Buy with free delivery

I would rather pay a little more and deal with Bestbuy as at least they will come and set it up and if something happens than can come get it.
