Nintendo Switch Gaming Settings for B7

Dear All,

Can anyone who has a Nintendo Switch connected to their OLED assist with their gaming settings.

Here's how I've set things up:

- On the Switch Im sending Full range RGB to my B7
- On the B7 I've set up the HDMI port as PC (text + icon), HDMI Deep black is enabled, Game mode selected
- Game mode picture settings are all at default

The problem is I cant tell which picture quality is correct when I change black level on the OLED between high/low.

In Low setting colors look a bit washed out (foggy) but with good color accuracy (not oversaturated) and in High colors look more vibrant but oversaturated and in general the image is less foggy.

Wouldnt black level at high mean the better PQ?

When switching to Auto I can see the TV is choosing Low.

Anyone who knows what the correct setup should be?

Thanks for taking the time.

Either set black level high with full rgb or set black level low with rgb limited. Those are the correct settings combinations.

Black level low with full rgb is not a correct setting so I wouldn't base any assumptions into how anything else looks compared to this setting combination.

With black level high and rgb full you are probably seeing oversaturated colors because the default Color setting is 65 if I'm not mistaken and that is rather high. You can tone it down more to your liking.

Yes that makes sense to me as well high=full and low=limited but when I choose high=full colors look more vibrant but I think blacks and shadows are getting crushed.

I dont have much experience with crushed blacks so not sure what to look for, but something not right.

I have color down to 50 already and still skin tones look a bit orange.

Do you own a Switch and have the settings you suggested?

I do. But can't say I've spent a lot of time with the switch since getting my B7.

Edit: the orange skin tones could be the color temp maybe? I use C30 for gaming.
