From what I can see, the D is the Deutsche Version of the B7 and the V is the English "box store" version (e.g., Costco, Tesco, etc). So likely other than needing a plug adapter, you should be ok. At least according to The Google.

there is no difference technically. lg uses different lettering on the last part as per region. b7v is uk version. in france either would work.

What's strange is B7V is sold in UK/France/Belgium/Spain/Italy.
B7D is ONLY sold in Germany... Very intriguing
I've ordered many electronics in Germany and for the first time I'm a little worried

200€ less for the D version !

Nothing strange about it. Most global TV and appliance brands have some sort of designation for different national versions. That helps distinguish different SKU. The actual differences can range from country of assembly to different labels, box design, and default settings.

I agree but why this exception for DE in the whole Europe ?
It seems German prices are generally lower.
Is it a trick to avoid "grey market" and order like what I intend to do ?
I say grey market because it's legal to order in Germany from France.
But maybe warranty issues later if I contact LG France for any problem.

V is the Euro(/paneuropean) version, D is not just for Germany, also Switzerland and Austria (and I believe the Saturn/Mediamarkt in Germany sell both versions). The difference with the B6D and V was in the tuners (more on the D version) but now it seems to be the same on the B7 (maybe the tuner frequencies differ). If you use a settopbox connected via HDMI it shouldn't pose a problem ...

Thank you for your interest.
Tuner was my first idea and I've checked the specs yesterday and seem identical.
Honestly, I don't intend to get a settopbox to save 200€. I need to be sure the D version will tune the same frequencies for DVB and will be serviced by the France LG customer service.

The D versions have double set of triple tuners so that you can watch and record different programs at the same time without using a set-top-box.

There also used to be a daylight sensor in the D sets to adjust the lighting of the OLED to viewing conditions. Maybe now all LG OLEDs have this feature.

Also read for the + ambient light probe.
I've noted also the V 2 entries (RF, Sat) / German + : RF Eingang 3 (1 x Analog/DVB-C/DVB-T2 HD und 2 x DVB-S2)

I've read there were recent modification in Germany in DVB to go for DVB-T2 and H265 where most multiplex in France are now DBV-T/H264 for 1 year.
Not very clear for me what the D version is still there.
Maybe you German will better know, but then will don't know for French network.....

France :

Germany :

Does B7D "supersed" the B7V ?
W7,G7 and A series are all provided in the V version in Germany... Go figure.

Thank you for contacting LG Electronics Deutschland GmbH.

The V-variant has a normal triple tuner installed. The D variant has a dual triple tuner installed. Both models can be used within the EU. The two models support reception via DVB-C, DVB-T / T2 HD and DVB-S / S2.

No angebote campaigns like in France for discounting TVs in Germany (LG, Samsung in France by now where we have " many priced list) ?

I live in Germany and had the question of b or d ever since. It is really just the lack of a dual triple tuner (which the e7v has so there is only th v version in germany). I think it has to do with the high prices in Media Markt and Saturn. They claim to offer the same price as the cheapest offer but they do not expand this to the v model.
In the end it is a way to keep prices high a little longer in the retail market for uninformed people (mostly retird people where the internet is considered as neuland) buy expensive stuff in the big retails stores of Media Markt and Saturn.

Steueramt.... Based on my time in DE and the fun of having the "Fernseherpolizei" check to see if you had a TV and were paying the tax, I wouldn't be surprised. Pure speculation on my part, mostly for my own amusement.

I find it interesting that it was cheaper as my colleagues in Karlsruhe used to head to Strasbourg all the time to shop as it was distinctly cheaper, and that was post-Euro.

My assumption was false. The real reason was double tuner. But hotline was unable to tell this...
