You are talking about the Samsung DLPs, not the plasmas being discussed in this forum. The current generation Samsung plasmas have DNIe which cannot be disabled, even in the service menu.

Sorry, I misread or didn't read the title very well of this thread and my brain subsituted LCD and plasma for DLP perhaps. Forgive me and ignore my earlier post.

I prefer Plasma's over LCD's because they are brighter. However, I have not really done much comparing with those at the stores.

No problem - as a soon-to-be former owner of a LCD RPTV unit and a soon-to-be plasma owner, I sometimes get confused about which forum I'm in at times myself. :)
