Its time for me to get a 1080p HDTV im looking at these 2 LCD Samsung models (4095 and 4096)

i was wondering what the difference is between the 2 (every place i look just give a basic breakdown of the 2 and they look identical in specs).

is it worth the price difference?

should i just wait for a tv that supports HDMI 1.3?
are there any future models i can look at that have 1.3?

what about a dlp or plasma rather than an lcd? (mostly movies and gaming is what i need)

have a handful of other questions i've forgotten at the moment but ill post them as i remember them.

thanks in advance for any help on this topic

few more questions:

burn-in as far as ive read up on it its not really a problem anymore but it does still exists... is LCD the least prone to burn in?

is samsung the best i can get for the money? i mean i know sonys that have the same features as the samsung models are usually double the price.

and as far as the blacks how good are samsung lcds with picture? i know they have the highest contrast ratios ive seen at 6000:1

response times? lag during gaming?

few more i cant remember as of yet but theyll come

also with the 95 if im not mistaken it only has an ATSC tuner and the 96 has NTSC and ATSC

my question here is whether the ATSC still supports regular cable or only digital signal?

also if anyone has some answers to my other questions id appreciate that as well thanks

on a side note ive been doing some extra reading and im definitely going with an LCD. from what ive been reading so far plasmas just dont seem right for me specially sicne i want a 1080p at a good price.

also with the xbox 360 and vga cables would i be able to reach 1080p resolution i know this has nothing to do with the lcd itself but just wondering because i am considering buying the hd dvd addon

Yeah, i'm really interested in the two as well. From what i can gather, it seems the 95 has a depth of 12.5inchs and the 96 has a depth of 4-6inchs.

12.5inchs for the LN-S4095D? that doesn't seem right, are they referring to the base as well?

I just want a cheap tv that I can mount of the wall. Which one should we get?

the forum title is "OKed for new TV. which one?"

Hope it helps.

any another thing. Do you really need a 1080p lcd screen? The ONLY system that supports it is HD-DVD and Blue-ray. HD TV is only 720p (no noticeable difference on 1080p).

I like the LN-S4096D, but i'm thinking of getting a bigger screen with lower resolution. Overall, should be cheaper.
