Currently I am wondering about 3 models:

TH42PHD8 - Panasonic: Seems to get great reviews in CNet. Though it is relatively expensive for me.

42PX4RV - LG: Read a lot of good stuff about it. However, when I saw it in a store, I was quite disappointment. The picture looked blurry and bland, at least compared to other stuff in the store. However, I am not sure if it was just a bad store/view/config, or actually a tv.

42LB1R - LG: LCD screen, saw it under the previously mentioned 42PX4RV and was blown away by the colors. However, the reviews (again, cnet, anyone else reviews those??) were not excited at all.

So, as I said, I am quite confused.
I am not a videophile but I do want an immersive experience, my budget, on the other hand, is moderately limited and I'd rather not put more than 3200$ into the TV.

Beside that, I am not sure if I even need the HD, do I? My main intention is to watch series/movies from my media computer (divx) and occasionally a DVD.

Advices would be welcomed. Thanks
