Check out our latest creation on Kickstarter called Silk Light
One of our divisions called Saffron
has been designing and making unique LED lights for a few years and today we launched a Kickstarter Project for an Automated Lighting solution that will address one of the biggest new problems in our screen-filled lives: blue light's effects on our body's eating, sleeping, and other patterns.
Over the last several million years, we evolved to take light temperature cues from the sun. In the daytime, the sun would create more bluish light (see "Rayleigh Scattering") and in the evening, it would create more reddish tones. The last decade of scientific research
on the subject has revealed that artificial lights from TVs, computer/phone screens, CFL/LED lights, etc have confused our internal circadian clocks for decades. This can make it hard for you to fall asleep during that first hour of laying in bed, and it probably makes you feel groggy in the morning and mid-day.
We explain the Circadian Rhythm problem in classic stereotypical caveman fashion here:
Please Back Us!
We'll probably never be able to sell a 3 pack of connected LED bulbs and the Zigbee/Wifi bridge for $99 again. Grab one while it's hot!:
