Thanks for the quick response to my other two "dumb" questions.

Here's another: How does the 169Time DTC100/Mod combo handle an incoming 720p signal?

Let's say one of the antenna inputs receives a 720p OTA signal (from...oh, I don't know...let's say...ABC). What is actually recorded on the DVHS tape?

Is it a true native 720p signal (like with a Panny combo), that is then converted to 1080i on playback by the DTC100 -- or is it converted to 1080i on input to the DTC100, and recorded as 1080i?

I hope this makes sense. It's an important question to me.

Thanks,

Steve

The raw transport stream is stored on the D-VHS tape. So the recording will be 720p. If played through the Panny, you'll see 720p; if played through the DTC-100, you'll see 1080i.
