I too confirmed with KMOV, and saw on another site (was it rabbitears?) that KMOV is broadcasting the TVGOS data.
They are on the factory firmware, as the unit is located where it will be difficult to get an Ethernet cable to it, and the USB loadable firmware package still isn't on the site. If you got it to work, are you using the updated 202 firmware?
Aaron, Wish I had better news, but, no, I have not been able to get TVGOS data in the St. Louis area.
I had sent an email to KMOV and received an email back that yes they were sending TVGOS on an "opportunistic" basis. And based on that email, I stated KMOV was transmitting TVGOS, and that statement may have been the source for the (incorrect?) Rabbitears update.
But ... after reading the posts in this forum for some time now I think there may have been a misunderstanding on KMOV's part. I think they're sending PSIP data on an "opportunistic" basis.
The red TVGuide logo has not appeared in the Guide data even when I went completely back through initial setup and entered 63101, 63033, 63138, 63010, none worked.
I've given up on TVGOS for now. The DVR is in use at a relative's house, and they're fine with PSIP and one or two days worth of Guide. (I don't know how the clock is doing, but I haven't heard complaints about it.)
By the way, not sure if you may be aware, but all local OTA converters may need to rescan for Channel 4 KMOV after January 19 because KMOV is moving from digital 56 to a lower channel. (Who knows, maybe TVGOS will work after their equipment change over?)http://www.kmov.com/news/asseenonnew....71619e07.html
Please repost if you ever get digital TVGOS working with the DTVPal DVR in the St. Louis area and what Zip worked for you.
Oh ... and I did update the Firmware to 202 before I delivered the DVR to the relatives at the beginning. The unit has been in use about two weeks. There has been one lockup which has required an unplug / replug sequence. About 8 days ago I followed "rustycruisers" recipe for solving the reboots, and then in the next 6 days it only restarted once per the stats I checked two days ago.
Also, if you change the Zip, I suggest you go all the way through the initial setup. One previous post theorized that the Zip can be updated without an initial setup by using the post setup menus ... but that only when using the initial setup the new Zip will really start to be used .... again it's a theory, your mileage may vary.
