Does anyone have their DVI out from their JVC hooked up to a Marantz VP-12S1? If so, is the connection on the Marantz a 4 or 6pin? I know the JVC side is a 4 pin. Thanks for your help!

You mean the 30000U has a DVI out? When I had mine I never saw a DVI output.

The four-pin connector you're looking at is either S-Video (round DIN connector) or i.Link (aka IEEE 1394/Firewire). Per the manual, there is no DVI port. Like Sony, they assume you'll use an i.Link port in combination with S-Video. The menus are overlaid on the S-Vidoe output, the movie or whatever is recorded on the tape will be transferred via i.Link.
