As the Boss says, "Is anybody alive out there?"
Hello out there! Nothing like kicking a thread that was on life support and has been dead for almost a year.
So, after not succeeding in getting my spouse to agree to pull the plug on cable, the Tvix M6620 went into a box in the back of the closet for a long time. Now, I am in a remote cabin that does get OTA, so I fired it up today. Set it to get time and date info from PBS. And ended up with it being an hour off (3 pm real time, Tvix thinks it is 4 pm). I went back and read posts in this thread about setting clock to manual, setting real time, turning DST off, rebooting etc. But instead of all that, I changed the Tvix settings from Pacific time zone to Alaska. All seems good now. Is this an easy fix that will keep me out of trouble, or is something else -- like the Program Guide -- going to bollix up?
I'm also curious whether Aleron or anybody ekse took the plunge and ordered a unit from Korea and got it to work.
