There are 4 HDTV card makes in Korea.
Among them Macro MyHD card and Sasem cards are popular.
In here price is about 300-350 USD.

The good news is they will upgrde their S/W and driver for
recording and playback with D-VHS deck such as JVC DH30000
through IEEE1394 cable under Window XP.

I know that there is similliar tread about this in AVS forum.

But they arleady didi it .

they say that it will be done within a month.

I am very looking forward this function.

And MyHD card just upgrded to 1.52 version which make possible DVD playback through HDTV card .
P.Q. quality is really remarkable( best of best)

Far better than Theatertek SW play .

It can also output 1080i,720p,480p either Component and RGB.

Cool ,Isn't it?

I hope Digital Connection can distribute this HDTV cards n USA.

Thanks for that good news. I hope the HIPIX will upgrade their software to allow DVD playback too.

Just for kicks, I converted some short DVD clips into transport streams yesterday and played them back via the HIPIX. Just as you found, the 1080i output from the HIPIX was as good as my PowerDVD/Radeon setup.

Do you know if the MyHD card will work with US broadcasts?

Please let us know when the D-VHS upgrade is available.

Hey Joe,

Please share information on creating the HiPix compatible Transport Streams. There are a number of us interested in such things.

Cheers!
DAve.

I used the Manzanita MP2TSMS Demo. There is 10 seconds max stream length with the demo, but it's nice to know it can be easily done.

No luck outputting to the D-VHS deck though.
