I have the impression that the majority of people in this section of the AVS Forum are most interested in HD VCRs. My main interest is in a TiVo-like HD PVR. I have little interest in an HD VCR.

What do you think? Assume that your device of choice can record from any available (digital) source.

I didn't really see my choice listed. That would
be: will take any solution for time shifting.
Period.

I want the PVR more - I wouldn't say that I would settle for it though.

I want a PVR with long term storage as an option :)

But I really want a PVR, capable of both DIRECTV and ATSC OTA bitstream time shifting :) :)

Cheers!
DAve.

I love my DVHS stuff. Fast, easy and
makes my collection easy to use at any time. Plus I have it all today.

I want an HD PVR, and recordable HD-DVD (infinite capacity not necessary) (I chose the last option)
I'm really not in to tapes (everybody else here seems to be)

I want the PVR with archive via 1394 to either DVHS or 1394 to HDDVD, my choice. That option was not available. The DN PVR will offer this according to their rep. This PVR is in the planning stages so it is just a matter of time before I get my wish.

Give me a HD PVR with removeable media (DVD-RW, hot-swapping hard drive, digital tape, whatever).
