I was still editing while you posted. I didn't know you were including that in the price, but Kelson was referring to just the unit in his post, and you answered to that.

Still, 300 bucks is a pretty darned good price, unless it was a really beat up, older, used model or something like that.

So what is your FREE solution to record multiple channels in HD? What route did you go?

It amazes me how folks will pay $1000+ for an HDTV and then watch SD stretched, because they refuse to pay for a quality HDDVR.

As for privacy that ended when the internet launched.

TiVo Roamio Pro, Premiere XL4, Premiere 2TB-WD20EURS, TiVo Mini
Win7 WMC SiliconDust HDHomeRun Prime, Cisco Tuning Adapter Status Troubleshooting

Both the CM 7400 and the TViX record uncompromised HD content, so it's certainly possible to get a "quality" HD DVR outside of buying a TiVo.

Magnavox 513 will do exactly what I want for FREE (minus purchase price). Just for recording shows like 'Two & a Half Men' etc I don't care if the playback is in HD > DVD quality will be very acceptable and much better than my prior VCR on SP recording speed.
CM 7400 reviews are not that impressive > very HOT running unit that several say must be "unplugged to cool before it works as should". And even then is very "buggy"
