Could any one provide me the dimensions for the Cisco 8742HDC cable box? I am trying to have a rackshelf made for the face of this unit, and I cant find demensions ANYWHERE for this, and the box is 200 miles from me, Comcast in my area does not use these. Called Cisco (4 different phone numbers and 30+ minutes later, nothing), time warner cable, searched both sites, even searched "scientific atlanta".

I need fairly precise measurements of the height and width to the 1/16", also how far the face plate sits off a shelf.

Hope someone can help....

Thank you, but unfortunatly, that is not accurate for the 8742, the 8742 is narrower, and looks nothing like the 8642 (yes web page says product might look different). And no this is NOT our installation, we are going to clean it up. See bottom box which is the 8742.

The samsung unit on the second shelf down. It has the thin blue LED near the buttons. What model is that? I was just working on a unit identical as that and the IR would not respond when i connected an emittor...i notice you have an emittor with a shield over it. I spoke to Time Warner and Samsung and they said it would not work when connected to IR emittor. SMT-H3272 was the unit i was working on.
