DVRs are slow and have no use for the speed provided by a SSD, and the frequent write operations of a DVR will wear out the NAND memory in a SSD faster than when using one as a PC's system drive.

Recording free OTA TV for 'time shifting' has been here since 1977. Will there be DVR's to do the same when ATSC3 obsoletes existing DVR's??
