I have a U-Verse DVR and a Magnavox ZV27MG9 combo DVD Recorder/VCR and transferred HD channel material from the DVR to the DVD Recorder. However, now i started getting a "cannot record program +VR" message. After some research, i found that TV stations have copy protection and only allow us to copy once to the DVR.. Does anyone know if this is confined to U-Verse or are other cable and satellite companies doing the same? It would explain why we don't see many DVD recorders anymore.!!!!

Anyway, my question is what's the best way to bypass the copy protection without sacrificing picture quality. My guess is VIDEO FILTER from LOGIC DESIGN ? Any help would be appreciated !!!!
