I am trying to record from a Cox Cable Orange County Mototola 3200 via 1394.
I get picture and sound for ALL HD channels via Firewire 1394 i.Link connection.

Playback results in black, followed by error code 201 "wait a minute calibrating"

Is this likely either a record or playback headclog, or something else

all other speed and inputs record fine, VHS, S-VHS, standard def channels via 1394 connection.

is it possible Cox is encoding all HD channels with a non-record flag?

I DO see an image in fast forward or rewind of what I recorded, but not play, and only with recordings made at the HS speed it would appear
