Thanks aaronwt. I figured such as I had said that I had a WishList question... I see five options for entry:

Keyword
Title keyword
Actor
Director
Category

For your Redskin games, do you use Keyword (maybe "Redskins") and Category, "Football"? Not sure if it's beneficial to use Title keyword though...

Thanks.

I have a simple wishlist with 2 keywords:
Eagles and NFL.
I also pad the wishlist with 1hr on the backside.

This has recorded every Philadelphia Eagles game on any channel for the last 5 seasons and has the Sunday season opener already queued up in the ToDo list.

I would suggest for you:
Packers and NFL

Kelson, thank you! Just "Keyword" it is then...

I had been recording the Eagles games actually (not TiVo). A player went to the Skins, so I'll follow their games occasionally now. I like to follow alums from the undergrad alma mater, when time permits...

Thanks again.

TiVo has done the work for football collections already and it's there now.

Go to "Find tv movies and videos", "browse tv and movies", "sports", "NFL follow your team", pick the team you want, then "record this collection".

It will, record all the games from the team you picked.

Nice, thank you Aero 1. Don't see the same for college ball, but I'll make do with the WishList approach...

Good to know that will be the case for hoops, but I don't see the same (team selection) for college football, which started this past week... Maybe I missed it? I'll look again...

Are you actually using this "collections" scheduler?

When I first got my Roamio in Sept of last year I went right to this "collections" scheduler for my Eagles games. It scheduled the first two games perfectly but then missed the next two. Fortunately I kept tabs on it since it was a new feature I was unfamiliar with and was able to manually schedule the games from the guide so I didn't miss anything. In the following weeks I found the "collections" scheduler to be hit or miss and unreliable. After week 10 I deleted it and went back to my simple wishlist which reliably recorded the remainder of the season.

@TonyB1966
The "collection" scheduler is neat and simple to use and I suspect TiVo has fixed any problem with its reliability in the past year. But if you use it, I would keep an eye on it for the first couple months just to make sure all the games it is supposed to record get scheduled.

Without wanting to jinx it. My SDV is working transparently in NYC.

This is with a premiere 2 tuner on latest software. It has not always been this way. No hardware changes in that time.

I had something like that initially but I found I had to go back in and add a couple of things. Since I got some recordings other than the games.

Since they took away the service fee on the mini they increased the price to $150. Fry's still has them at $88 so hurry up and pick one up or have a store price match before they raise their price too!

Thank you. I didn't realize the Mini does not require additional service. We have Lifetime on the main box, and if I understand you correctly, that's all that it is needed.

I have a Mini in my Fry's shopping cart now, so doing some quick research as I type... Am I correct that with a connected Mini (via Ethernet or MoCA) at another TV, one can watch live TV there even though there is no such TV feed (OTA, cable, etc) there? Sounds like that's the case, that it would use one of TiVo's tuners to accomplish that task...

Thanks again.

Ok, finally have some time, and found this, so no need to address the above: http://support.tivo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2557

As long as you have a four or six tuner TiVo. That is needed to be the host TiVo for the Mini. Which is the TiVo where the Mini grabs the tuner from. And once you have the Mini linked to the host, the mini is able to stream content from the Host as well as other TiVos, two tuner and higher(S4 & S5) that is on the same account and on the same network..

Thank you aaronwt. This confirms what I found in my updated post above. Sorry, was running into a meeting and had limited time at that moment...

For the price, I'm going to buy it online and pick it up tomorrow at Fry's. Thanks again.

Tip of the hat to kamouflage.

Had BB price match Fry's for $88, plus I still had the $50 gift card from the Roamio purchase from New Years Eve...out the door w/tax for $45!

Will you still get the free lifetime even though you are not buying it from TiVo for $150?

I have one on the way from Amazon I ordered yesterday for $85. I'm hoping I'll be able to get lifetime for no extra cost. I know at TiVo Community some people reported that they didnt need to pay anything extra.

just spoke with TiVo, and was told that separate service is required on the Mini. I don't doubt that folks are using them now with no additional service, but I get the sense that might end. Still in the shopping cart. Not so sure I'll pull the trigger now...

On the TiVo website it says the offer is good until Jan 6, 2015. I'm just waiting to see someone buy it at discount from a retailer and still get the free lifetime service when the mini is registered.

They don't know where you bought it from or how much you paid for it, the only thing that has changed is the service fee for the mini has been waived.

Saw a report on Tivocommunity.com that someone else ran into this because the rep didn't know how to activate that option. They called back and another rep took care of it no problem. I wouldn't be surprised that there are a few hiccups as this promotion just took effect today. I bought mine during lunch today and will be setting it up when I get home. As CharlesO showed above, you shouldn't have any issues.

Do both the DVR and Mini need to be physically connected (Ethernet or MoCA), or just the Mini?

Ok, just got home. It's takes quite a bit of creative connections to reach my Roamio with an Ethernet (still moving into this house), so I'll start finding the various parts I need. Was hoping the TiVo could be on wireless. I plan to go Ethernet eventually, but I want to get this Mini box set-up now...
