I installed a new Hopper with Sling. My problem is with playback of recorded shows. I have the box connected by optic cable to an older 2006 model Yamaha receiver. When I pause a playback and then start it again I get a loud click that sounds like an electric snapping/charge that is loud enough that I'm afraid it will harm my speakers. I've disconnected the optical cable and am temporarily using RCA cables but that results in only getting stereo not 5.1 surround sound. Has anyone had a similar problem? It may be the amplifier but don't want to replace it if it's the Hopper causing the problem. Anyone else with a similar problem?

My Hopper is connected to a Yamaha receiver via optical cable. Do not have that problem. My hopper has the sling adapter.

I went and bought a new Yamaha amplifier with HDMI inputs and everything is now working great. I assume my problem was not the HOPPER but my Yamaha amp. I love the Hopper it is the best new tech for TV watching I have ever used.
