I didn't know Rovi was a patent troll, possibly worse than Tivo. Rovi has been very aggressive in suing TV manufacturers and pure software companies... even Amazon, Hulu and Netflix... and they've got 2X the revenue and 12X the market cap of Tivo?

Rovi bought, then killed TV Guide. I'm an HDD 250 guy so you know that I regard Rovi as a customer dis-service company. They used to be known as Macrovision, the company that made it big making sure that your DVD or VCR couldn't record properly.

I have two Tivos, bought after Rovi and Sony screwed we HDD owners. I like my Tivo, quite a bit.....even if they did cause Sony to stop selling the HDD. The fact someone can patent a "pause" button, is an arguement for another time.

In Vienna we sit, in late night cafe. Straight Connection, on T.E.E.
