Hi All,
I'm confused about one thing with this DVR. Under äspect ratio" there is an option for 1080P 30 & 1080P 60.
I assume the P means progressive scan. If that's the case, the reason I'm confused is I thought cable wasn't capable of receiving the 1080 P signal and that can only be obtaned by blu-ray or steaming online.
Can anyone explain what the 1080 P 30 & 1080 P 60 options mean and if they are useful on a cable box that can't carry 1080 P signals?
Thanks in advance.
Gary

It upconverts 1080I to 1080P, much as a Bluray player will upconvert a 480P DVD to 1080P...

Good point. It's the Motorola X1 DVR from Comcast.

So I'm better off changing it to 1080P instead of 1080I?

If so, which is better, 1080P 30 or 1080P 60?

Thanks.

Try each one one on your TV and let your eyes make the decision.... It might well be that your TV is unable to to see one or the other.
