HR21 hard drive in HR44?

I have an HR21 and I'm getting an HR44 (Genie). Can I move the HR21's internal hard drive to my HR44, either internal or external? The HR21 has up upgraded hard drive (2GB) and it has shows on it I'd like to keep.

I bet the drive from the 21 won't fit. the 44 is much smaller then a 21. also if you open it up it may just cost you a bunch, remember you do not own it just lease it. same thing with the 21 but they are so out of date that D just junks them,

I know the HR44 is physically smaller, but everything I've read points to it being able to take a 3.5" drive. Even if it doesn't fit, there's still the option to mount it externally via eSATA.

My question really is: will the HR21's filesystem be recognized and readable by the HR44?

No, the recordings are encrypted to each specific DVR, so the recordings from one are not readable by another.
