Question Using regular desktop drives in PVR? Does it cause an issue?

I have a Motorola DCX3400 with 500GB hard drive. I'd like to change the internal drive with a larger 1 or 2TB drive and I can find quite a few WD Green drives for cheap.

I know there are special Hard drives (like WD Purple) designed for PVRs, BUT, would using a regular desktop hard drive cause any issues? I am using a regular 7200RPM as an external drive and it works just fine... what's the advice here?

Specifically with WD Green, I can disable the Intelli-park feature and I think it should work ok then, no?

Thanks
