Anyone still able to capture from D-VHS Deck to PC? (via Firewire, not HD-PVR)?

Is there anyone out there still running a set up that will allow you to capture directly from a D-VHS VCR Deck to your PC in the original MPEG2 .TS format using the firewire connection?

I have a few D-VHS tapes from the early days of HD I found while cleaning up a closet. I'd love to get them transferred onto a hard drive so I can view them again. Several years ago I captured them in MPEG4 with the HD-PVR, but for some reason the resulting MPEG4 files were jumpy and shimmered when played back. I think the "non standard" GOP the HD-PVRs use caused it to have this affect.

If anyone can help me with getting these onto a hard drive please PM me.
