Many thanks to the members who helped me find a replacement Dish modulator for the one I lost in a move, but while I was searching I came across a dealer with a ...

COMPLETE NEW Dish 5000 kit, Dish HD Modulator, Pana TU-DST51 & Pana PV-HD1000 system!

When I asked if they had a modulator for sale they said the only one they had was for their own display system that they had not set-up yet. I went to the dealer yesterday and asked about the system. They told me that since they were in Oregon and had just the wrong amount of tree/terrain blockage for the 61.5 sat they were going to sell the whole system as a package.

Now I have seen the stack of boxes and equipment. They showed me how the new 5000 was still in it's sealed plastic wrapper. There's even a case of blank F300 D-VHS tapes too. This is for real!

They said they would post pictures etc., I'll find out the links.

I've already got my HD set-up. Now maybe one of the members can get theirs.

Thanks for the Kudos for running into this system that is for sale, but the congratulations should go to the one who snags this deal.

Yes.
As of last check yesterday afternoon the store had just posted the photos online but had not posted a classified ad or e-bay listing. I got a list of urls for the photos.
In an effort to follow AVS protocall I won't list them here but e-mail me and I'll get them to you ASAP.

More background. This is a 20+ year old retail/custom install outfit that is CEDIA cert. and a authorised dealer for Dish & Panasonic.

I have received numerous e-mails and I am answering them all as fast as I can between 'honey-do' projects around the house today (Sunday).
I don't think speed is an issue to get in touch with the store cause I think they closed Sundays. No they did not give an e-mail address just physical address and phone number. I do expect that they will be busy first thing Monday mornning!

Dave-
A massive public AVSForum THANK YOU very much for your efforts.
I am looking to replace my entire HT/HiFi system as my home was thoroughly burglarized.
Unfortunately, even though I called them every 15 minutes since 6AM your time, I was second alternate at 9:04am (I got no answer at 8:55am). I even had the same last name as ?Debbie-- Hahn. She mentioned you !got her out of the shower yesterday!
If you ever come across similar please give me a holler.
Thanks again,
Kurt

Kurt,
Sorry to hear about the second alternate thing on 'The Deal' but I'm even sorrier to hear about the burglary at your home. One of the reasons I am in equipment procurement mode is that my family lost our home to a fire. I know what your going through.

All the best! Long live AVS!

My wife has been there. About 35 years ago- she was ~7y/o & the youngest of 10 children, their family restaurant/home burned to the ground (but no lives lost!).
Hope you & yours are well.
Kurt

PS. How did you explain the shower thing to your wife?
