Don,

Why did it take two full days to put on party hat? Oh never mind. Atleast you should be thanking me for taking a certain zany Canadian of your hands!

Don,

I tried to be nice! I am the only one who remembered!

Sil,

Well, I was about to say a gracious thankyou, but stopped short. Figured it best to find out what "mediva" meant first. Still don't know and you didn't answer either. Do you know? Anyway, thank you for pointing it out to me. Sorry I hadn't even noticed as things like that seem unimportant to me.
Two days to get around here? Yes, I'm not in the work mode where I have to sit and kill time while editing, I've been numbercrunching air schedules for the summer shows in many cable systems and that has slowed down my circuit through the forums in the past week.
Hmmm... party hat? Took that off when the party was over back on January 20 I believe. http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif

Hi Sil- Good luck in dealing with rodman. He hasn't made a deal yet in many months so there must be a catch to what he wants to do. Must be some baggage attached to the deal that people don't want to be bothered with.

Stop Fast and JVC
Might as well add:Companies which
have provided technical advice for
D-VHS format:

Hitachi, Ltd.

Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.

Philips Electronics N.V.

[What is "Bit stream recording"?]

Bit stream recording is a method of recording processed (e.g. compressed or scrambled) signals, such as
those of digital broadcasts, on a tape directly as digital data, and outputting them in the same state as
they were input. Therefore a bit stream recording unit does not incorporate functions like
analog-to-digital (A/D) conversion, digital-to-analog (D/A) conversion, digital
compression/decompression, or descrambling. So, video and audio signals cannot be produced using
that unit alone. To reproduce video and audio signals, the bit stream data must go through a digital
broadcast receiver's circuits that convert the digital data to video and audio signals.
