I was just wonderig whether a miniDV VCR -or- miniDV camcorder can record a Panny DST-50 1394 HD Output?

Does DV Spoof come into play or would it work directly?

Unfortunately no. DV cameras expect the incoming data to be in a fairly specific format consisting of 8 different types of 80-byte blocks (6 of which are header type info, and then audio and video blocks).

They will ignore an arbitrary data stream.

Is that also true of the miniDV VCR's like the JVC miniDV/S-VHS Combo's?
