Thanks
M Bradley

I was wondering about that.
That maybe an issue that might deter me from getting it.
I was wondering why it has taken so long to get another batch of these cards out on the market.
Did they do any changes to the card on this batch compare to the last?
Cliff?

Hugo,

I have not been informed of ANY design changes to the card.

Any reason I give for the delay would only be my opinion.

Does anyone know if the HIPIX card has hot keys in the software or remote for Fast Forward 15 sec. and Rewind/Replay 15 sec. like the other? Skipping commercials is a important feature.

Jeff,

Yes HiPix does have hotkeys for FF & Rew. I’ve programmed the controls into my Pronto.

Chap,

Actually the first shipments went out yesterday.

I just do not think you can put it that simply. Although by almost any standard, the WinTV-HD is at the bottom on the list. Whether HiPix or Access come out on top again depends on what you want to do. I like archiving movies to Digital8 camcorder tape and having the option to share material (consistent with copyright laws) with others who may have missed a program I recorded. So I chose HiPix.
