Add me to the list of those who have had their Panny TU-DST50/PV-HD1000 audio dropout problems solved by addition of the Technics SH-AC500D AC-3/DTS decoder. The AC500D replaced a Sony EP9ES AC-3 decoder which was exhibiting some dropouts (not too bad but enough to be annoying). The AC500D
is mated with a Yamaha RX-V990 A/V receiver in my setup.
